Why do you believe you are eligible to be selected to be a Sitecore MVP?
I would like to attempt this question in a slightly different manner: While I can highlight my community contributions, I think it is up to the panel to decide if I'm eligible for the title. Also, the title is given once a year but you have 365 days as a community contributor and if you start thinking if you are eligible for the title, contributions will feel like a waste of time or result in negativity. On the other hand, contributions are akin to a hobby helpful in channelising your energy in a positive manner. In other words, a self-made promise towards introspection and self-improvement on a regular basis. They also help build a rapport with the community. It is important to note that most of my community connections are virtually formed and have known them for more than 3 years. So, you strike a chord with the community, wish to maintain that virtual connection, influence people through consistency and in the process, jot down points for your own future reference. In summary, contributions are manifestations of character. As a pancreatic cancer survivor crossing the 6-year mark this November 2023, I firmly believe in personal attributes of mettle, individuality and selflessness. So, here I’m listing my community contributions with better commitment compared to other years since life is about continuous improvement!
2023 contributions summary:
- Like other years, blogged and shared my Sitecore experience
- Like every year, have been up-to-date until latest Sitecore version with my own GitHub repository, for the only Sitecore Commerce GUI installer
- This year too made significant GitHub contributions to other' repositories
- Provided product feedback accepted by the Sitecore team
- Created first-ever crash-course video for Sitecore XM Cloud Developer certification
- Similar to other certifications, one of the first in Australia to pass Sitecore XM Cloud Developer certification
Note: I have added my content stats wherever possible to give an idea about my content quality, since quality from my viewpoint is community reach/usefulness
What are your objectives for the next year?
- More video contributions
- SUG and SUGCON presentations
- Take active part in SUGCON ANZ
- Stay afloat in the community
- Share my personal/professional experiences

SocialMedia Sitecore Slack Channel Participation
I'm a member of the Sitecore Slack community channel for the last 3+ years. While the channel helps understand technology and trends, it is also a way to stay hands-on and learn based on others' scenarios. I've also managed to make connections across the globe with other community members. I do follow discussions regularly and have provided my suggestions and solutions to other community members. Also, I've used some of the threads as inspiration for my own blog posts + PR contributions.
