The domain name is already exist alert when trying to create a site within a tenant

Encountered "The domain name is already exist" alert when trying to create a site named Storefront that i already deleted from the tenant -

While searching for domain across the tree, found that "Storefront" was still present in the dropdown list for Domain field within a newly created storefront setting -

/sitecore/content/Sitecore/New Storefront/Settings/Site Grouping/New Storefront

After some exploration of the Sitecore tiles, happened to click Domain Manager in the launchpad and could find a list of domains and the "Storefront" domain was still there -

On deleting the domain, the "Storefront" string wasn't visible in the Domain drop down anymore -

Also, could create a site named Storefront under the tenant without the domain name already exist alert.
